About Bayside Sod A Fifth-Generation Family Sod Farm Since 1987
Bayside Sod is a fifth-generation family sod farm in Bradenton, Florida, founded in 1987, with about 900 acres of sod under production.
From Jack Bispham’s Farm to Tiffany Bailey’s Company
Jack Bispham founded Bayside Sod in 1987. His daughter, Tiffany Bailey, grew up in the business and now leads it as CEO and co-owner.
We grow our sod on about 900 acres and cut it fresh for each order, so it goes from our fields to your home or job site the day it ships. Homeowners and landscapers buy from the same farm, from a single piece for a patch to a truckload for a development.
Turf Care, our newest service, means the farm that grows and installs a lawn can also maintain it.

An Extension of We Care in This House
At Bayside Sod, sustainability is not a separate initiative. It is an extension of our core value, We Care in This House, and our mission to exceed industry standards.
We believe caring for our customers also means caring for the land, soil, and resources that make our business possible. In many cases, that means taking extra steps that may require more time or cost but that we believe create better long-term outcomes.
The common thread across these practices is that we are willing to do more than the minimum. We Care in This House means considering the long-term health of the property, the soil, our farms, and the communities we serve. Exceeding industry standards means continually looking for better practices rather than simply doing things the way they have always been done.
On Our Farms
We incorporate regenerative farming practices designed to support soil health and the long-term productivity of our land. One example is the use of cover crops in areas after sod harvest. Cover cropping is not a standard practice across the sod industry, but we believe the additional step can help improve soil health and organic matter and reflects our commitment to being responsible stewards of the land.
During Sod Installation
We frequently incorporate compost beneath new sod installations. Florida soils can be low in organic matter, so adding compost helps improve the soil environment and can support stronger establishment of the new turf. Our philosophy is that a healthy lawn starts with healthy soil, not simply with what is visible on the surface.
Through Our Turf Care Division
Our lawn-care program goes beyond a traditional fertilizer-and-pesticide approach. We incorporate biological-based products and treatments intended to support soil health and the overall turf ecosystem. We look at the lawn as a system and focus not only on correcting visible problems but also on building healthier soil and turf over time.
Florida’s Leading Provider of Quality Sod
That is the goal we work toward. Our mission is to exceed industry standards, to take care of good people who do good work, and to follow systems that bring clarity, accountability, and repeatable excellence.
You Pay When You Are Satisfied
Installation customers make the final payment only once they are completely satisfied with the install. Delivery and pickup customers who are unhappy with the sod quality on arrival get a replacement or a refund.
