Bayside Sod Inc., led by CEO and owner Tiffany Bailey, ranks No. 16 on the Tampa Bay Business Journal’s 2026 list of the 75 largest women-owned businesses in Tampa Bay.

The Tampa Bay Business Journal publishes an annual ranking of the region’s largest women-owned companies, ordered by revenue. Bayside Sod ranks No. 16 of 75 on the 2026 list.

The Journal also called out Bayside Sod as one of the fastest-growing companies on the list. Revenue grew 43% from 2024 to 2025, and Bayside Sod is one of only 10 companies on the list that grew more than 30% year over year.

For a family sod farm that started in a Bradenton field in 1987, that is a milestone worth pausing on. It comes in the same year Tiffany was named a 2026 BusinessWoman of the Year honoree by the Journal, and one year after Bayside Sod made the Inc. 5000 list of America’s fastest-growing private companies.

Still the Farm

Bayside Sod is a fifth-generation family farm. Tiffany bought the company from her father, Jack Bispham, in 2018. Since then the business has grown to 45 employees without changing what it is: a farm that grows its own grass, installs it with its own crews, and now maintains it through its Turf Care division.

The ranking reflects the people who make that work, from the crews cutting sod at dawn to the office team answering the phone. It also reflects the homeowners, landscapers, and builders across Manatee, Sarasota, Hillsborough, and Pinellas counties who keep choosing sod grown a few miles from where it is laid.

What It Means for You

Recognition like this changes nothing about how we work. Our sod is cut fresh to order, and the people who answer the phone know the grass because they grow it. If anything, the list raises the bar we hold ourselves to.
