Fusion™ is Bayside Sod’s proprietary blend of four St. Augustine grass genotypes, grown on our Bradenton farm. It is the first commercially available four-genotype St. Augustine blend in Florida, and it is patent pending.
Why Fusion
Because Fusion combines four genotypes, it adapts to a wider range of yard conditions than single-variety St. Augustines such as Floratam and Bitterblue. We built the blend for:
- Enhanced resistance to Lethal Viral Necrosis (LVN)
- Improved disease tolerance
- Better insect resistance
- A uniform appearance across the lawn
Sun and Care
- Sun: full sun to moderate shade
- Mowing height: 3 to 4 inches
- Water and feeding: permanent irrigation and routine fertilization, like any St. Augustine lawn
- Coverage: one pallet covers 400 square feet, so a 2,000 sq ft yard needs 5 pallets
