Bahia

Bahia Grass is valued for outstanding drought and heat tolerance and an ability to thrive where many lawn grasses falter. Its use in lawns occurs in a very limited region of the southeastern United States. Within this area, Bahia Grass produces a relatively durable, low-growing, low-maintenance turf. Bahia Grass is the only variety that does not require an irrigation system.

If your purchase includes Bahia sod, please note that Bahia sod is harvested from pastures. It is not maintained or irrigated like our other varieties of sod we produce from our farms. The quality cannot be guaranteed. Generally, Bahia sod is used for roadside work and erosion control. It is very common for pieces to have weeds, to break apart, and appear inconsistent. Bahia can be used in yards but will take a few weeks to settle, grow, and appear like a normal looking yard.
