How much does sod installation cost?
Typical Bayside installs run $1.00 to $1.75 per square foot, so a 2,000 sq ft yard costs about $2,000 to $3,500. Your exact price comes from a free site visit and a written proposal.
Do you remove the old grass before laying new sod?
Yes. Removal is part of every install: we cut out the existing grass and weeds with a sod cutter before the new sod goes down.
Do I need an irrigation system for new sod?
We strongly recommend one. For a yard without irrigation, Bahia is the right choice, because it needs water only to establish.
Do you install or repair sprinklers?
Sprinkler installation and service are outside our work, so use your irrigation contractor for those. We will gladly recommend an irrigation company. If our crew damages a sprinkler during an install, we repair it.
Do you do small repairs, or only full lawns?
We do repairs, such as new sod after pool construction. There is no minimum square footage, but installs carry a minimum charge of $949, so even a 200 to 300 sq ft repair is a job we take.
What does the installation guarantee cover?
Installation customers make the final payment only once they are completely satisfied with the install. For delivery and pickup orders, if the sod quality disappoints you on arrival, we replace it or refund your money.
Who looks after the lawn after the install?
You water it; we send an introductory email and four weekly emails on establishing it. For fertilization, weed, insect, and disease control, our Turf Care program starts at $79 a month in Manatee and Sarasota counties.
