Homeowners in Bradenton and Sarasota pay nothing for delivery on any order of one pallet (400 square feet) or more. Every other city we serve, from St. Pete and Brandon down to Venice and North Port, carries a small delivery fee that depends on the address and the load, and we quote it with the pallet price so there are no surprises on the invoice. Landscapers and commercial sites get a delivered price with their quote.
How a Delivery Works
We cut your order at the farm on State Road 64 the day it ships. The truck arrives with a forklift, and the driver sets the pallets down where you ask: a driveway, a side yard, or as close to the lawn as the truck can reach. Have the spot picked before the truck arrives, because a pallet is roughly 2,500 pounds and does not move again without equipment.
Lay the sod the day it lands. Stacked sod heats from the inside, and in Florida summer a pallet left overnight can yellow in the middle. If you are installing yourself, schedule delivery for the morning of the day you have help lined up. If our crew is installing, the truck and the crew arrive together.
When Pickup Makes More Sense
Anything under a pallet is a pickup. The farm store at 19810 FL-64 in Bradenton sells sod by the piece ($3.75 for a 16 by 24 inch piece), so a patch under a swing set or the strip along a new driveway does not need a truck. Hours are Monday to Friday 8 to 4:30 and Saturday 8 to 12; call ahead and we will have your variety cut and waiting.
What to Have Ready When You Call
Give us the square footage (length times width in feet, divided by 400 for pallets), the variety, the delivery address, and the day you want it. If you are not sure which grass fits the yard, tell us how much sun it gets and whether it has irrigation, and we will recommend one. Call (941) 702-1746 or request a quote, and we will come back with the pallet price and, outside Bradenton and Sarasota, the delivery fee to your street.
